Charity Price is a senior associate at Doner Law, PLC where she specializes in employment law counseling and litigation. She practices before federal and state courts in Virginia. Ms. Price regularly counsels employers in all aspects of employment law, including employment contracts (including non-competes, non-solicitation agreements, and confidentiality agreements), severance agreements, employee handbooks and other personnel policies, family and medical leave, disability accommodation, discrimination, wage-hour issues, and disciplinary and termination matters. She regularly represents employers before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, state and local human rights agencies, and the U.S. Department of Labor.
She frequently trains management and staff on a variety of employment law issues, including anti-harassment, evaluation techniques, discipline, the handling of accommodations and discrimination complaints, wage-hour compliance, the National Labor Relations Act, and independent contractor classifications.
Prior to joining Doner Law, PLC, Ms. Price was a senior associate in the Labor and Employment practice group at Odin, Feldman, & Pittleman, P.C. and subsequently served as an Americans with Disabilities Act Analyst with Navy Federal Credit Union. While in law school, Ms. Price worked as a consultant for a small government contractor where she handled the procurement of trademark registrations. Ms. Price also worked in the District of Columbia Public Defender’s Office where she participated in criminal defense litigation. Ms. Price has co-authored chapters published in the Virginia CLE Publication of Employment Law in Virginia, 2014 and 2016 Editions.
Outside of work, Ms. Price serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors of Reston Children’s Center, a non-profit school. She also serves on the organizing committee for a fundraising event at Jill’s House, which provides overnight care to families of children with intellectual disabilities in a celebratory and safe environment tailored to them. Ms. Price also serves on a fundraising team for the Man & Woman of the Year campaign for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
